Singapore Glamberts Meet Up At F1

We all know by now that Adam will be in Singapore for the Formula One Grand Prix and will be performing on the 25th & 26th September 2010.
If you have ZONE 1 tickets – good for you! Those are expensive and have fun on the 26th Sept! For the rest of us, we will be planning for the 25th Sept Zone 4 Performance on the Padang.

WHAT TIME SHOULD YOU BE THERE?
Please note – we are going to be there with fans of Formula One & Daughtry. Daughtry is coming up at 6pm. If you are going to go there on your own, be there by 5pm to ‘chop’ your place in front of the stage. But don’t worry if you cannot get a spot in front – after Daughtry, there will be people moving off to watch the F1 – that’s your chance to grab a spot!
FOR THOSE WHO WISH TO MEET UP & GO TOGETHER INTO THE F1 PREMISES…
ALL F1 Gates will be OPENED by 3pm! I suggest that we meet up outside of the F1 before moving into the F1 grounds!
MEET: Raffles City Shopping Centre – right outside of STARBUCKS
TIME: EXACTLY 3PM!
We will wait for no more than 30min and will then move off! Latecomers are to go to the F1 grounds on their own and try to rejoin the group.

CHOP SPOTS: We will be ‘choping’ spots in front of the Padang Stage from 4pm onwards!
Note: This is 7 hours before Adam comes up! So bring mats, towels and umbrellas! Bring your battery-operated fans etc. Let’s be orderly and neat. We need to look out for one another and help each other if someone next to you require to go to the loo, buy a drink, get dinner etc.
HOW TO FIND EACH OTHER?
I would like to suggest that ALL GLAMBERTS in F1 to go there wearing at least ONE BLUE GLOW NECKLACE/BRACELET (see below – we will be selling Glow Sticks and necklaces to ALL) to identify each other. It is going to be a HOT HOT DAY & NIGHT and so be prepared that make up will run, clothes will be soaked with perspiration (someone has suggested to me to bring extra clothes to change into).
BLUE GLOW NECKLACES/BRACELETS/STICKS
I think we should wear the BLUE GLOW NECKLACES or BRACELETS to identify ourselves as Glamberts. Furthermore, let’s break out the Blue Glow Sticks during Adam’s performance so that he would know how many people in the crowd is there specifically FOR HIM!

BIG NEWS: Adam Lambert & His Glam Nation Tour Will Be In Malaysia 14 Oct!

Ok, according to MSN Entertainment’s (@msnbuzz) tweet, Adam’s concert ticket prices in Malaysia will be RM88, RM158, RM228, RM300 (Pit Standing) and RM500 (VIP). I think apart from the Pit Standing, all other categories are assigned seating.
So anyone contemplating the RM500 VIP tickets?

YES! Sony Music Malaysia has posted on their Facebook page that Adam is coming to Malaysia to perform on 14 October 2010 8pm! According to The Star Online, the concert “…is set to take place at Putra Indoor Stadium, Bukit Jalil in Kuala Lumpur“.

No Glamnation Merchandise Will Be On Sale During F1!

This is really sad… Lushington Entertainments – the guys that are bringing Adam Lambert to Singapore – has confirmed with me that there will NOT be any Glamnation Tour Merchandise on sale during Adam’s performance in the F1 Singapore Grand Prix! Replying to my query on their Facebook page, Lushington Entertainment’s Alastair Hunt confirmed that only official F1 race merchandise will be available during F1 (see below).
This is turning out to be a sad affair for Singapore – we do NOT have Glamnation concert, we do NOT have GNT’s merchandise to buy, and we do NOT have VIP Meet & Greet to buy (this was offered for the Hong Kong and Philippines concerts).
Adam really should hold ONE MORE true Glamnation Concert in Singapore after F1!

This is a consolidated and updated post on Adam Lambert’s performances in Singapore during the 2010 Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix.
Adam will be performing in the 2010 Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix from the 25-26 September 2010. See the HUGE F1 concert poster in City Hall MRT station above! Wow!
He will be performing in the mega Padang Stage in Zone 4 of the F1 Circuit on the 25th September at 11.20pm (refer to the Entertainment Map below). 1-Day Zone 4 Walkabout tickets are going for S$108 per pax. While the cheapest ticket still available for Zone 1 is S$1,288 (it is so expensive because of F1 and not because of the concert). Grab your tickets as soon as possible before it is sold out! (NOTE: This is a “WALKABOUT” ticket… so there are NO SEATS. So no worries, just choose “Section: GA” which stands for “General Admission” when you order your tickets online.)

Adam will be performing his FULL SET when he performs in the Formula 1! (As stated on the F1 website) That means ONE HOUR of Adam singing on stage! YAH! Adam will be coming on after Daughtry! So be prepared to party into the wee hours of the night! You need to go to the venue early and “chomp” a place in front of the stage to watch his performance! (Seats in the Grandstand etc. are seats to watch the F1 – they face OUTSIDE of the Padang, towards the roads where the race cars will be zooming by. So DON’T BUY any seated tickets! You would not be able to see the stage at all!)
Disappointed But… Let’s Take Over The Padang!
I know everyone is a bit disappointed… we want The Glamnation Tour… NOT F1! But no matter… Adam will be here and he will be exposed to a wider audience and that could only mean good things for him! Let’s celebrate and party with him at the Padang and make our presence known there! If enough glamberts come out in force, we can take over the front of the stage!
Let us be there early in all our GLAM and GLITTER and we will wait for Adam to perform and enjoy his set tremendously!

When is Adam Lambert & the Glamnation Tour Coming to Singapore?

Update 21 July:
GREAT NEWS! In his latest radio interview with Mix 100 Denver, Adam Lambert once again confirmed that his Glamnation Tour will go international and will go on till the end of December 2010. Adam mentioned that he will be bringing his tour to ASIA, Australia, Europe and United Kingdom! Concert dates are now being solidified! (To listen to the radio interview, click on HERE.)

Update 20 July:
Adam Lambert has just added two Hawaii dates for his Glamnation Tour! Interestingly, the dates for his concert in Honolulu are 25th and 26th October 2010. He would be in Asia from end of September (where he said he would be in Singapore) to at least 10th October where he has a concert in Manila, Philippines; so will he then head to Australia, New Zealand and/or United Kingdom? Will there be time for Adam to visit all these countries and then head to Hawaii for his concerts there? What do you think? Feel free to comment below!

BUT so far we have heard NO dates for his Singapore concert! While dates for his Japan, Philippines and now, Hong Kong (not verified at point of writing), concerts have all been released!
What is going on?
Local fans and fans from neighbouring countries are all at tenterhooks waiting for the news – we need the date/s as soon as possible! Travel arrangements need to be planned, leave applications need to be submitted etc.
We are all excited for Adam to come back to Singapore to perform a FULL ‘LIVE’ CONCERT – moreover, he promised (during his special showcase in March) he would come back to Singapore!

The Glamnation Tour - 23Jun - Queuing Up for the Concert
After the thrilling night of watching Adam Lambert perform ‘live’ in Nokia Theatre Times Square in New York City, Bing and I (Sam opted to skip tonight’s concert for the Mary Poppins Musical) decided we just had to get in line earlier to get a better position to enjoy the concert. We were aiming for the railings on the second level of the theatre… not daring to try to go to the front of the hall. So, we started queuing at 3.30pm and were situated at a nice spot in the line. (See video below.)
Making friends with fans around us, it made the time go by so much faster! A quick pavement-side dinner of a typical slice of New York Pizza and a trip to a nearby restroom and we were all aglitter and ready to PARTY!
Glam Nation Tour – 23rd June in Nokia Theatre, Times Square, New York
Today, Nokia Theatre decided to let us in early. The line started to move in spurts and bursts by 6pm and we were in the Theatre by 7pm. Rushing in, we aimed for the railings. Unfortunately, the railings were all taken by the time Bing and I rush into the hall. Making a quick scan of the room and decision, we decided we want to be as close to Adam as possible tonight – so we headed to the extreme right-side raised platform. The platform took us right to the extreme right of the stage and it was empty. Bing and I positioned ourselves on the railings and anxiously waited for the concert to begin. Our position allowed us to be right in front of the stage and be where everything was happening. However, we would have to sacrifice anything that was happening in the middle and back of the stage. We decided that since we had experienced the concert in its entirety last night, we could do without some of Adam’s images but we couldn’t do without feeling Adam!

My Trek to Adam Lambert, Glam Nation Tour & New York! Part 1

Adam Lambert & The GlamNation Tour
After one very hot week in Orlando, Florida, my sister, Samantha and I, headed to New York last week – where Adam Lambert and Glam Nation awaited! As I counted down to 22nd and 23rd June, I went about being a tourist in New York!
One major highlight before my Glam Nation experience was being in the same audience as Keanu Reeves when I attended the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre for an improv performance on my very first day in New York! I acted cool and didn’t geek out – just like all the other New Yorkers around me.
New York was simply wonderful to walk around! I really love the beautiful and historical architectural surrounding me always! Central Park was a wonderful green refuge while Times Square just screamed LIFE day and night!
But perhaps I was enjoying myself too much… because when my first Glam Nation concert came around… I was soooo tuckered out that it was one bad experience after another up until the concert itself!
Glam Nation Tour – 22nd June in Nokia Theatre, Times Square, New York
In a Funk
The night before my first Glam Nation concert and the air-conditioning in my hotel room had to go bust. Between me freaking out to the hotel manager, the technician, the new room, moving to a new room, I found myself sleeping only at around 3am!
Keeping a prior appointment to meet fellow Singapore Glambert, Bing, (or HP to those who attended the special Adam showcase, she was the one of five lucky Glamberts to go on stage and get to hug Adam – and she was the one who flashed the ‘V’ sign even as she was hugging him) who was also in New York to catch Adam in action, we ended up in the Natural History Museum of New York till 4pm. A trip to Central Park next door so that Bing could score a free Yoga goody bag (its a long story) and we saw ourselves putting on our glitter in the Park itself! I brought my Gold, Silver and Metallic Blue glitter and we put it all on!
Between the subway trip to Times Square and getting lost trying to find Nokia Theatre, we didn’t make it to the Theatre till almost 7pm! A quick hello to another fellow Singapore Glambert, Jacqui, in the front of the queue (she started queuing the night before at 10pm), and we ran 4 blocks down to the very end of the queue. We just kept going and going… trying to reach the end of the line. BUT every fan was out in force and came real early! We were regulated to the last quarter of the queue! We were a little bit discouraged by then – would we be able to get a good place in the theatre to enjoy the concert? As for me, while I was getting excited, I was also in a funk! I was tired, upset that we arrived to the Nokia Theatre so late, being way back in the queue, hated what I was wearing etc. It was tough to get out of this funk and to soak in the whole experience at first.
Glamberts RULE!
BUT the fun, funky atmosphere pervading throughout the queue started to get to me! As I got surrounded by fellow Adam fans, their infectious excitement cut through my foggy head and heavy heart, and I finally realise that I AM HERE – I AM IN NEW YORK ABOUT TO CATCH ADAM LAMBERT IN CONCERT!
It was a revelation that needed to be revealed to me, to make me realise that I NEED TO BE PRESENT for this!
(Plus we were relieved when the queue continued way behind us – we were NOT that late after all! Lots of fans came after us! 
)
Into the Theatre
The queue started moving… the line snaked forward… we were being let into the Theatre around 7.30pm. A quick bag check and we were IN! Down the escalators… now where? Quickly, quickly we needed to get good positions! A turn here, a turn there and we are in the Theatre! We found ourselves in the third row from the 2nd Mezzanine railing… we decided this would be the best perches for us (see pic of us below). Sam decided she needed to sit and proceeded to find choice seating from the seats in the back of the Nokia Theatre.
